Welcome to Casita Cielo. This Cozy Lakeside Eco-Suite is a private, independent suite located on the first level of Dreamland Sanctuary. It offers an intimate, off-grid retreat experience with sweeping views of Lake Atitlán and its volcanoes. It’s located in the outskirts of Santiago Atitlán, just across the bay from the main town. It’s nearest to San Juan Chacayá.

Designed for a restful, nature-immersed stay, this eco-luxury suite invites guests to enjoy simplicity, serenity, and a deep connection with the surrounding jungle and lake.

Casita Cielo is a private, independent suite located on the first level of Dreamland Sanctuary with a private entrance and stunning lake & volcano views from the front.

Guests have access to the entire home and surrounding Dreamland property, including:

• Private lakefront & dock for swimming or quiet reflection (note: permaculture team or volunteers may occasionally be present).

• Permaculture gardens, where our indigenous team cultivates organic produce — we can arrange a guided tour upon request.

• Grassy terraces, outdoor fire pit, and cozy lounge areas for rest and connection with nature.

• Starlink Wi-Fi, basic kitchen essentials, and outdoor spaces for stargazing and enjoying the view.

• Extra Experiences:  Daily yoga, vegan meals & fire ceremonies at Mystical Yoga Farm (5 mins walk)

Off-Grid Conscious

Dreamland is 100% solar-powered and eco-sustainable. Be mindful with water & electricity use

High-energy devices are prohibited (hair dryers, straighteners, irons, kettles, heaters, A/C units, or power tools).

Earth-Inspired 

• Balconies are open-style with no railings — not suitable for children.

• Outdoor showers/baths are fully open-concept (spa-style), with no curtains or coverings. Being immersed in the jungle, insect friends may occasionally visit, especially at dusk.

• Limited curtains (= bring eye mask), floor-seating concept, and few mirrors for a nature-connected experience.

• Bring flashlights/headlamps for walking outside at night.

Nature Notice: 

During the rainy season, please be aware that larger insects, especially ants, may occasionally enter the house despite our preventive measures. Of course, all windows have screens installed, but some insects may still appear. Mosquitoes are also more common in the garden during this time.

Please consider this before booking. Insect presence naturally increases during the rainy season particularly.

• We have cameras facing all sides of the house for safety, and an optional overnight security guard can be arranged upon request (additional cost).

Location & Access - IMPORTANT NOTE

Dreamland sits at the top of a mountain in the jungle, accessible only by a steep uphill hike on an unpaved path from our private dock or parking area.

This beautiful ascent is part of the adventure — but it means the property is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Because of our remote location:

• There are no restaurants or shops nearby.

• Please buy groceries in Santiago Atitlán or Panajachel before arrival.

• We provide basics like oil, salt, coffee, tea, and sugar.

• The Mystical Yoga Farm, a 5-minute walk away, offers delicious meals and yoga classes (by prior arrangement). We’ll send you detailed information about them in our guidebook after your booking is confirmed.

Arrival & Parking 

• Best option: Taxi to Santiago, then boat to Dreamland

• If driving: 5-10 mins walk to the Sanctuary

• Off-premise overnight parking available for additional cost (5-10 mins walk to Dreamland Sanctuary).

Check-in & Luggage

Check-in: 3:00 – 5:00 PM (it gets dark shortly after).

Late check-ins (after 5 PM) can be arranged for a small additional fee to support staff.

Luggage: Because of the steep terrain, please pack light. For heavier bags, our local guide Walter can assist for a gratuity of 100 Q (~$13 USD).
